Self Rescue

Description

Since outside rescue is not always guaranteed and is almost always not timely, it is important for every group to be prepared to rescue themselves if something goes wrong. Not every member of the group necessarily needs to know all the techniques, but it is very helpful for at least two trip leaders to have self rescue skills for their group and for them to be the first and last person at each rappel so that if something goes wrong, someone with the proper training can quickly step in and help.
