The kids built rockets out of 2 liter pop bottles, cutting fins out of foam board and taping them on with duct tape, then decorating them with markers. The rockets launch from a PVC launcher using pressurized air, with a little water added to the bottle so it blasts out as reaction mass and sends the rocket much higher than air alone.
